Cultural Classes Information

We are trying to get started with the following cultural classes but can only do so if we have enough people wanting to participate.  You can find brief description about each class below.  There are costs associated with these classes and we will let you know as more detailed information becomes available.  Please make sure to submit the interest form at the bottom of this page so we can inform you when there is enough people to start a class that you are interested in.  

我們想要開始一些文化課程,可是需要足夠的人數參與.  以下有每一個課程的簡介.我們會再通知大家有關新課程的更新消息. 請根據你們有興趣的課程填寫以下的表格, 並送回給我們. 我們會根據統計的人數,決定可以開的課程. 再通知大家.

 
課程簡介 Class Descriptions: 文化課報名單 Registration Form
Classes for Adults 成人班 Time: 3rd period 3:40 to 4:30 pm
Children's Classes 兒童班: Time: 4th period 4:40 to 5:30 pm

太極拳/國術/防身術 (Tai-Chi/Wushu/Self-Defense) - This class will cover wushu style Taichi, basic self-defense, and basic qigong.  For more information about this class, please visit Master Henry's website at http://www.taichimasterhenry.com.
-    每堂課60分鐘，每10堂為一期，一學年兩期。
-    開班日是十月三日，成人班和兒童班合併在4：30開始。
-    費用:每期每人$150，一家兩人則打九折，三人則打八五折。
-    支票抬頭請寫: SDCA
-    each lesson is 60 minutes, a session is 10 lessons (weeks) , 2 sessions available.
-    First Class starts on October 3rd, 2010, one class for both Adult & Children at 4:30pm.
-    The fee for each session is $150 per person, with 10% discount on total if you have two people in the same family in the class, and 15% discount on total if you have three people in the same family in the class.
-    Please make check payable to SDCA.

舞獅 (Lion Dance) - Join the SDCA Lion Dance Team, learn how to lion dance and perform what you learn at the opening act of our Chinese New Year Celebration Festival in February.  Class starts in November. 
-    每堂課60分鐘，共8堂。
-    開班日是十一月中旬，3：30 ~ 4：30。
-    費用:每人$60。支票抬頭請寫: SDCA
-    each class is 60 minutes, 8 classes (weeks) total.
-    First Class starts in mid-November, 2010, class date will be posted once determined.
-    The fee is $60 per person, please make check payable to SDCA.

二胡/笛子(Er-Hu/Chinese Bamboo Flute) - Learn how to play the Er-Hu (the Chinese Violin) and Chinese bamboo flute.  Student will need to have own instrument. 
-    至少3人開班，每堂課50分鐘，每25堂為一期
-    Minimum 3 people to start a class, each lesson is 50 minutes, a session is 25 lessons (weeks)
-    We are currently looking for a teacher.

捏麵人 (Chinese Folk Dough Figure Sculpturing) - more information to follow.
 
國畫 (Calligraphy Painting) - more information to follow.
 
插花 (Flower Arrangement) - more information to follow.
 
民俗舞蹈 (Chinese Folk Dance) - more information to follow.
 
書法/春聯 (Calligraphy) - more information to follow.
劍道 (Kendo - Japanese Fencing) - more information to follow.
 
成人爵士鋼琴班(Adult Jazz Piano) - 從認識和弦開始，進而達到能快速做歌曲伴奏自彈自唱（學生需自備keyboard）
-    至少6人開班，每堂課50分鐘，每12堂為一期
-    Minimum 6 people to start a class, each lesson is 50 minutes, a session is 12 lessons, student need to bring keyboard.
 
成人電腦班(Adult Computer Basic) - 認識中文輸入及周邊器材，學習收發email、初級文書處理、家庭照片編輯歸納等常用電腦功能（學生需自備Laptop）
-    至少8人開班，每堂課50分鐘，每12堂為一期（每期均設定成果目標）
-    Minimum 8 people to start a class, each lesson is 50 minutes, a session is 12 lessons, this is a Chinese based class.

成人攝影班(Adult Photography) - 將基礎攝影理論實際運用到生活中，讓你手拿傻瓜數位相機也能拍出好照片（學生需自備數位相機一台）
-    至少8人開班，每堂課50分鐘，每12堂為一期
-    Minimum 8 people to start a class, each lesson is 50 minutes, a session is 12 lessons.

兒童朗誦演講說書表演藝術訓練班(Children Speech and Recitation Training Class) - 從簡短詩詞導入，再加入肢體語言及面部表情之訓練，讓孩子一邊認識中國文化之美，一邊提高表達與表演能力
-    至少8人開班，每堂課50分鐘，每12堂為一期（每期均設定成果目標)
-    Minimum 8 people to start a class, each lesson is 50 minutes, a session is 12 lessons.

兒童趣味摺紙班(Origami for Kids) - 學習把平淡無其的一張紙摺成各種多采多姿的物品形狀，同時達到刺激孩子邏輯推理與想像力的效果
-    至少8人開班，每堂課50分鐘，每6堂為一期（每期均設定成果目標)
-    Minimum 8 people to start a class, each lesson is 50 minutes, a session is 6 lessons.
 
成人中文班 (Adult Chinese Class) - this class meets from 2 pm to 4 pm 
-    教材費另加： 五百字說華語 ＋CD
-    material and CD extra, about $20
